GI has two meanings depending on the context. As a noun, it means computer-generated imagery, which is a technology or application of computer graphics for creating or improving images in art, media, simulators, videos and games⁴⁵. These images can be static or dynamic, 2D or 3D, and used to create realistic or stylized characters, scenes and effects⁵⁶. As an abbreviation, it means Common Gateway Interface, which is a standard protocol for web servers to execute programs that generate web pages dynamically¹.
